But as science improves, we learn new things and discover easier and more effective ways to do things. One of these things is dieting. We have learned that to lose or to gain weight, it is all about CICO.

Calculating calories became common in the fitness community and people that want to lose weight as technology has developed.

Back in the day, it was hard to calculate how many calories you eat per day because there was no information or applications that could calculate it. So, people tended to just cut out bad food and that’s it.

Also, MyFitnessPal helps you to know how many pounds you will lose or gain per week. This is by the caloric deficit or surplus calculator.

If you ate 500 calories less than your maintenance calories, you will lose 1 pound of fat per week.

Conclusion: Is it worth the money after all?

Using the free version of MyFitnessPal was a stepping stone in my fitness journey. It provided me with the essential information I needed when I was dieting back then.

The additional features did not seem important to me as a beginner. Also, I did not believe in paying money for such a thing.

But after digging deep in dieting and nutrition, I found out that I missed a lot of things. As you advance, you need more advanced training programs, advanced diets, and of course, advanced tools for dieting.

MyFitnessPal premium is your way to go as you advance and your goals become bigger.
